A Bundling Machine Can Drive Down Corrugate and Chipboard Costs

Save Money, Be More Sustainable in Secondary Packaging through Bundling

At Package we have based our business on providing the best overwrap we can for consumer products.  Our overwrap is one we are proud to see on the shelves in retail stores. We have taken great pride in our material and energy efficiency and in the  reduction our servo overwrappers offer in aftermarket costs, downtime and flexibility in size change.

When we first designed our InLine Wrapper, the ILW, it was with larger consumer products presentation in mind. We knew that it could be a bundling machine as well since our FA-ST servo overwrapper is already used for bundling.

But it has come as a surprise to us to see the increased interest this machine is offering for secondary packaging. Reducing corrugate costs through bundling with film or paper is a viable and effective way to use our ILW bundle  machine to get products to stores with less weight, reduced corrugate and/or chipboard use.

One customer replaced their chipboard intermediate boxes with bundle wraps and reduced their transport weight (although their cost justification was based solely on reduction in chipboard consumption).

Seizing the opportunity to make your retailer happy by reducing the burden on retailers to dispose of intermediate packaging is a win-win for both manufacturer and retailer.

How can we help you make your packaging more sustainable from a fiscal and environmental view? Use the ILW bundling machine. Give us a call at 1.413.732.4000 or email sales@packagemachinery.com to discuss your specific packaging needs.
