The Wrapping God
October 8, 2009

John shows off the Wrapster which he invented.
A few years ago, one of John’s co-workers started calling him the wrapping god. The name has stuck.
John Bernet lives up to his name though. Not only did John invent our semi-automatic wrapping machine, the Wrapster, but he is hard at work on another semi-automatic machine , the TTDF, a machine designed to put all the tuck and folds and sealing on the bottom of the product that will be available next month.
John is not just an inventor though. He is an expert at finding and diagnosing problems with PackageĀ® wrapping machines during assembly in our facility and in production in our customers’ plants.
John is an educator too. Package customers feel more comfortable about their ability to solve their wrapping problems after learning from and talking to John.
John is also a collaborator. He has established relationships with our customer’s film and paper suppliers to ensure integration of film and machine. He collaborates with our customers on solving their unique issues. And he is on a first name basis with many of our vendors.
John is a lifetime Package person. He started with the original Package Machinery when he was seventeen and still in high school. We feel very fortunate that he has chosen to stay with us ever since. In his spare time, he has done such useful things as building beautiful grandfather clocks, rebuilding his gorgeous old truck, creating an elaborate backyard garden that includes a water wheel and a two story gazebo. installing the granite countertops that grace his kitchen, and spoiling his charming young dog.
We feel fortunate to have John with us and hope you will get the pleasure of working with him too.

Any word of cost? This machine looks fantastic, it’s small but very effective, must be cheaper than what most companies use at the moment to wrap small to medium sized objects.

The Wrapster is a semi-automatic machine designed for short runs or small batch sizes. By that, we mean thousands of pieces since it can do 300-400 an hour easily. The quality of the wrap is very high and is often used for perfume and other high end products, but also by a napkin company and candy companies.
If you are interested, please provide us with some information about your product, its size(s) and volume and we can give you specific information. There is also information on the Wrapster on our web site at http://www.packagemachinery.com/pages/wrapping-machinery/wrapster-semi-auto-wrappingmachine/. Thank you for your interest and for reading our blog.
