Paper Wrap Information

Paper wrapped boxes typically run from 20-60 per minute. Two types of gift paper may be used, treated gift paper or plain gift paper.

Paper and Glue

On treated paper, a small layer of adhesive is pre-applied to the paper during the conversion process. During the wrap process, heaters activate and begin to set the glue. Compression belts are used to hold the flaps in place until sealed.

Other makers choose to use standard gift paper which requires that hot or cold melt glue systems be integrated into the wrapping equipment. No problem!

Items sold through vending machines are typically “flow wrapped.” Refer to the help desk and the definition thereof. We do not produce flow wrappers but may have an alternative to lower volume producers which offers that “old fashioned look;” a classic “Die-Fold” wrapper. Long before flow wrappers became popular, larger confectionery and food items were die fold wrapped. If anyone has eaten a peanut butter cup or chocolate bar that was wrapped on a card with the film folded and sealed underneath, you know what we mean.
