Tornado hits near Package Machinery

by

The tornado that hit our complex last Wednesday did not do serious damage to our facility. Thank you all for your expressions of concern. We and those close to us are all well. We have been deeply appreciate of the care and concern from our customers, vendors and friends. Many, many thanks to those who have offered help.

We are hoping to re-open later today, Monday June 6th, with power from a generator. This will enable us to continue office work, while we wait for full power to support our machine build area.

The area around us was hit by an EF3 tornado. South of our facility walls and roofs disappeared and some residential buildings were destroyed. We have not yet seen with our own eyes the full destruction. What was around our facility was impressive enough for less than 5 minutes of action. Fortunately for Package Machinery the tornado hit just south of our facility and we sustained minor damage. The issue for Package has been restoration of power, water and telephone service to our complex, the south end of which was hit quite hard.

We have been told that we should see full power by end of week. We are hoping it arrived before the expected heat wave.

Meanwhile we are reachable by phone and email and hope to hear from you as to how we can help you.

Some of us watched the tornado from our office windows as it whirled by just south of our facility.
